Day three. Mockup of a landing page for an imaginary St. Matthew Passion concert with Berlin Phil.

I think it is by far the one that I am most satisfied with. As an avid classical music lover, I decided to do a concert mockup, also in remembrance of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, one of my favorite conductors.

I thought about what are some things that I’d want to see as a classical-concert-goer. And what I really would want to know would simply be the concert content, and the conductor. As when I go to a website of a specific orchestra, I already placed my trust in it and know it enough that I wouldn’t need more when I am simply looking for a concert that I am interested in.

I emphasized the button with its central location, and emphasized Bach with his autograph. I believe those two elements are the most important to the user: one more on the level to spark interest, and add a bit personal touch of Bach, and the other one to make sure they can easily order their tickets.

I used Berlin Phil’s color as the main color for the website. Also, the geometric shape is also based on their logo’s background. I used another gray shade to provide more dynamic feeling and add a little bit more contrast to make it interesting. For the clickable parts, I made them in yellow so it’s easy to catch the user’s eye and at the same time, stay consistent throughout.
