The Sierra Nevada National Park is located between Barinas and Merida. There you can find the higher altitude mountain ranges of the Venezuelan Andes, including Pico Bolivar with 5007 meters. The most popular access to the park is via the Cable Car of Merida, which is the highest in the world (reaching a height of 4.7km) and the second longest, with a distance of 12.5km.
