Ramadan Kareem!

I'm not Islamic, but I wanted to honor Ramadan layers of intention and complexity. People generally fast during daylight hours, only eating once the sun sets. With this in mind, I felt the absence of food was paramount to the idea, crumbs resembling stars in the night sky.

Since I have rudimentary Arabic comprehension, I relied heavily on Nadine Chanine to guide me. A million thanks to her studied and willing eye! It's easy to celebrate our own point of view, but sometimes placing ourselves in someone else's can improve our generosity or kareem, written here.

Ramadan Mubarak to my Muslim friends far and near!
