Creole Creamery

Creole Creamery. 4924 Prytania Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Creole Creamery opened in 2004 in a historic McKenzie’s Bakery building, as seen on the sign that remains on the facade. The 1950’s style ice cream parlor serves cups, cones, sundaes, and flavors from Creole Cream Cheese to Lavender Honey.

McKenzie’s Bakery began in 1924 in this storefront, a building that has previously been a bakery as well. The chain expanded to 49 locations in its heyday, but decayed into the 5 currently remaining locations.
