UX design - Color key researches

Let me know if you have a similar process!

I'm experimenting a creative process that is close to the one that is used in motion pictures.

Color keys consist in translating the story into thumbnails and roughly set the colors and mood of each in important points.

It mostly used in animation and video games but I never quite saw this process used in UX design. It really helps me to visualize what kind of story I want to tell the the user before having a design set into the stone.

What I did is taking the wireframes I did on Sketch, put is in a low resolution and paint over them on multiply on Photoshop. In roughfy 2hours I had it all planned in front of my eyes. And now that I have to finalize the design I find it quite reassuring to have this first quick color iteration to know where I'm going color-wise.
