Friday night was the tale of two pitchers. Boston’s Rick Porcello demonstrated spectacular command and efficiency in his first complete game since 2014 and walked off the mound with his 14th win of the season. Meanwhile, LA’s Tim Lincecum struggled with location and was bounced from the game with no outs in the sixth inning after giving up a home run to Jackie Bradley Jr.
