The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcaster founded in 1922. It’s services include television, radio, and online content. Their online portal www.bbc.com is used to access their content from outside the United Kingdom.

The current mobile view of this portal is a bit difficult to navigate. Small icons, menus, and overall text make specific content selection difficult. My goal with this concept was to reduce selection pain points and to add a bit of user editable functionality.

I wanted to keep the scrolling functionality of the current site while editing the visual layout, impact of photographic elements, and color. I added a functional aspect to reprioritize the color elements by adding a bar that allows the user to show or hide headlines by clicking and dragging. I also increased the font sizes and spacing to allow for more precise selection of stories.
