Pocket Science Cartoon (2)

This is Cornelia, overseer and manager of Research Pod 5. Despite her best intentions, she can be a little high strung and intimidating at times. She knows her stuff, and her job is to keep everybody in line - hanging back at the lab, crunching numbers and overseeing missions. She's got a weakness for chocolate - although she thinks nobody knows about it.

Cornelia's design came to me the easiest. I don't know why. I redrew Gloo like 200 times. But for some reason, ever since my first sketch of Cornelia, I felt like I understood what she should look like. Cornelia represents the scary professional world that our heros are trying desperately to become a part of - and even though they are scared of her, they really look up to her. Cornelia doesn't play a huge roll in the pilot episode that I am pitching this friday, but I am excited to explore her character more in the future.

This Friday I am driving out to Burbank California to pitch my cartoon "Pocket Science" to Channel Frederator (producers of Adventure Time, Bee and Puppycat, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, etc.)!!! I have been working on this idea for over a year now, creating and refining, and I am SO excited to start pitching it to studios!
