Women's Rights are Human Rights

This is from a poster I made for the Women's March on Washington.

Buy it as a card to write to your local representative about issues that you care about!! http://bit.ly/MMartirDraws

The phrase "Women's rights are human rights" was first used in 1985 by Cecilia Medina, the Chilean jurist, in a paper on feminism. Hillary Clinton also used part of this quote in a 1995 speech to the UN World Conference on Women: "Human rights are women's rights and women's rights are human rights."
