Sean's Oh! work reminded me of something I experimented with some time ago. It still stays with me. Maybe I loved how experimental it was and I should try more things like this to get out of my comfort zone.

Experimentation with letters, creating each letter with 360 spikes all merging in the centre. Then mixing 3 letters together to get craziness of an optical distortion that is this. Larger version attached, of the a, b and c.

Magenta, yellow and cyan were used then offset slightly to create the effect.
