Hint-Centered Design

I'm experimenting about the design of the new version of https://icons8.com/app I bet many of you use.

I'm trying something I called hint-centered design. Instead of providing a usual mockup + explanations, I started designing the progressive disclosure along designing the app.

Progressive disclosure are these yellow hints that teach about new or well hidden features.

This way:

1. Explanations are better. I'm not designing a disposable presentation, but a UX for thousands of people -> more time and energy for the task.

2. I don't have to make progressive disclosure after.

3. Progressive disclosure is tested on the team/partners/clients, i.e. everybody involved in the progress.
