Notification badges

I did this concept of how to help curb distraction of lots of notifications for Academia.edu's header nav. Ideally, you don't distract them by taking away all the badges and finding more timeful or contextual ways to inform people. BUT....

You don't always win the fight with PMs to simplify things. Even so, if you end up having to add a bazillion notifications everywhere, you can still sprinkle in a little delight :) #compromises
