Daily UI 023 — Onboarding

Day 23: Onboarding. I strongly dislike the trend where “onboarding” has become a screen with a few friendly illustrations and some text describing the features of the app. Don’t get me wrong, they’re nice and all, but no one cares. People just want to jump straight into the action. So in this screen, I have one simple description of the app, “Create an account” and “Sign in” buttons, and a skip button that lets the user start using the app without the need for an account. The user can be prompted to create an account later on, no worries :)

I also used an image of a safe to make a neato background. It’s subtle but helps bring some character and fits the theme of the app.
