M22 Sign and Clock (138/365)

So my dad likes to get cool things, and a few years back he figured out that while armed with a large case of beer and a smile, it was possible to approach the road construction workers replacing the road signs methodically along Northern Michigan roads and offer a trade: beer for signs. He got his hands on some pretty cool signs, so when on my way to work one morning after passing a fleet of trucks taking signs down and replacing them, I decided to try to initiate a bargain. Felt super judged buying a 18 pack of beer at 9:30 am on a Tuesday, and I definitely stammered when asking the road guy "So um I hear you trade old signs for adult beverages." Oh my god, after I said that they were so nice. So nice. All the guys teamed up and picked me out a beautiful M22 sign in exchange for a pack of Budweiser. Most people have to steal their signs, but I got mine fair and square: beer for road sign. It hangs on my wall with my modern ball clock above it.
