AOK — Artwork Page

First off, AOK is a platform where people browse and buy artworks, that also helps raise money for charities.

This is a study of how the artwork page supposed to look like on the AOK platform. We've had numerous iterations of this, can't say this is the last one. It's a bit different compared to normal auction platforms. You may ask, "Why is the price so small?". We have decided on following a narrative, which is to tell the story of the artwork and focus on the cause.

Here at AOK, we are for the artists, so we initially made our platform artist-centric.

We interviewed a lot of artists, and more often than not, they have the same sentiments: "we're not doing it for the money, but more of expressing ourselves". Some shy away when they talk about money. So what we did is, we took that sentiment, and made it our goal for the page.

Unfortunately, this didn't really work customer-wise. You can't really see the buy / bid button until at the very bottom. Which can make us lose a sale if a customer is impatient, or got confused with the UI.

It was a good learning experiment, and we hope to improve the buying experience for the customer without compromising the core values of the company.
