Belletrist Logotype

Belletrist is a great little project curated by Emma Roberts and Kara Preiss– an online book community with a mission to encourage girls and women to connect through books, to spark conversations about femininity, and to create a community of empowered, curious, and intelligent girls and women who love to read.

The direction for this logo was: sophisticated, approachable, smart, and playful–think a contemporary Breakfast at Tiffany's vibe with a strong sense of capability. Working with the already-designed site interface, I created this midweight, midcentury-inspired script to complement the happy energy and sophisticated spirit of the project.
