Caroline Gardner Product Cards
This is an old project I worked on a few years ago. I've always really liked Caroline Gardner products so I was really happy when I had the chance to work on their website redesign.
There's a bunch I'd change if I could go back and do it again but there are still a lot of elements I really liked - including these cards.
One thing that really helped: we were very adamant that they needed to invest in good photography for their products. We put together a set of photography guidelines with inspiration, technical details and styling information.
Part of the job of being a designer is taking more of an art director role - whether it's photography or illustration. You don't have to do it all yourself, but you need to be able to advise on or even source good quality assets.
