Sea of Thieves Icon

@Jonathan Simcoe has been preaching the vector abilities of Figma to me, so I decided to take it for a spin.

I worked on cloning this great icon I caught in a trailer for Rare's forthcoming Sea of Thieves (which has a super fun pirates-meets-World-of-Warcraft aesthetic).

My experience so far? Figma is super impressive but is lacking a little bit in the vector department. It feels REALLY close to Sketch in all the right ways but lacks some features that would have helped out a lot (such as outline stroke, or being able to apply textures as fills), and I ran into some pretty gnarly resizing bugs with this simple icon. Overall though, I'm continually impressed with what Figma can do, and blown away by what the team has already been able to pack into a web app. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

Between Figma, Affinity Designer, Sketch, and Illustrator, there's a bunch of great vector options out there. It's a fun time to be a designer!
