Happy Bee Lucky

I don't think this brand ever saw the light of day since it was an early stage idea by a dear friend of mine. These are two comps I gave her to consider, and while they were well received, I'm not in love with them. Not going to sugar coat it, this was a super hard project. Every illustration looked like lousy stock art. I now have a sincere appreciation for how hard it is to come up with a distinct looking bee. Anyway, I had a blast ideating these by sketching in a notebook on the subway so all-in-all it was a success in my book.
