The letter 'M' for Mary appears four times as it subtly weaves in and out, forming a cross shape which reinforces the Catholic foundation of the school. Each of the visual elements are transparent and multidirectional which speak to the transformational experience that happens at SMA. Girls come in, are embraced by the community and then go out into the world to effect change. This completed tightly interwoven cross forms a dynamic, bold and sophisticated symbol that represents the diverse community that is St. Mary's Academy.
