Volusion Spot Illustrations

A couple of spot illustrations I created for a Volusion vs. Etsy page. Still playing around with styles that work for us as a brand, but having a ton of fun experimenting.

Process:
I start out with sketches based on elements that are relevant to the subject matter and work nicely together. Next I build simple shapes with the color scheme to determine how they might be laid out. After that I refine the shapes and add details, re-arranging the composition depending on how that affects them. Finally, I add texture, small details and lots of extra love.
