Card component exploration

Early iterations of a card design from an application I've worked on for the past few months. The final card design is similar to the second design.

The primary card color changes to make the dashboard easily scannable for users, especially for users in many communities.

In MVP one this card style is for learning communities (courses), but will translate to other type of communities in future versions. I'm using Material Design as the starting point for designs, with heavy customization here and there.
