New Portfolio Site

I decided to give my portfolio site a visual design facelift. My past branding choice wasn't feeling 100% me and it is an ongoing process discovering what that means, how I'd like to represent myself, and what my personal style is. I find portfolio sites to be one of the most challenging projects and a constant internal struggle defining who I am as a designer. I'm pretty happy with how this concept is coming along, but am always open to feedback. What do you think of this style? How do you tackle your own portfolio websites? Do you find that the brands you work on define your own personal style?
