migration is beautiful pt. 2

this is the second half of my series on immigration. this issue stands very close to my heart as a hispanic-american. I had the blessing to visit Tijuana in a service-immersion program and one takeaway i had was that the children looked like me as a child. i thought in that moment that my brothers and sisters are being denied the ability to come to our nation and it struck me. why do kids who look like me deserve to be ripped away from their families at the border? so in solidarity with that idea, i modeled this piece after pictures of myself as a child.
