Anti-GMO campaign posters

The Organic Produce Society, were running a campaign to increase awareness of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s) used in our food and agriculture.

When I was asked to design their campaign posters, I felt the best approach was to avoid the cliche’s & scare tactics of monstrous fruits, mutated vegetables & desolate scenes of Earth.

It was also important to avoid turning it into a smear campaign, so I stayed away from targeting particular corporations & manufacturers. Instead I felt the posters should be more believable, relatable & informative by focusing on the facts.

The idea that un-natural elements and splicing of genes are being included in our food without our knowledge or consent is a far scarier concept than any mutated tomato.
