Angler Fish Swimming and Preying

More animation practice with the very interesting angler fish.

1. The angler fish are known for their lure that lights up in the deep sea 400-2,000 meters below the sea level. This lure can be moved around to attract their prey which they suck into their huge mouths.

2. The light in the lure comes from tiny bacteria called photoplankton.

3. The males and females have one of the strangest relationships in the animal kingdom. When a male finds a female, he bites into her side and fuses to her forever, taking nutrients from her blood and fertilizing any eggs that she produces. This saves the species from having to find each other at breeding time, which is very difficult in their dark habitat.
