GELLED!

I recently started a Tumblr blog to track the release of 'gelled' BBC websites; sites that have been redesigned using the corporation's new GEL guidelines.

The site currently uses a hastily customised theme, so I thought it would be fun to redesign the site using the GEL guidelines themselves.

Tomorrow I move on to the front-end code, dipping my toes into the dark and mysterious HTML5 waters for the first time. As this is a simple design, and the project is well scoped, it seems like a good place to start.
