Gender Climate Tracker App
The Women’s Environment & Development Organization (WEDO), promotes and protects human rights, gender equality and the integrity of the environment. Their mission stands for the inclusion of women in policy-making and environmental sustainability planning, as women — especially those living in countries where gender inequalities force them to be responsible for many social practices involving natural resources — are often most impacted by climate change.
In 2016, WEDO, approached Lucid to help with the development of their Gender Climate Tracker app. The app provides simple direct and efficient access to the latest information on policies, mandates, research, decisions and actions related to gender and climate change. The app focuses on three main user-friendly sections each including an introduction through the data, the methodology, and a quick analysis.
Downloaded in over 90 countries by experts, practitioners, decision-makers, negotiators, and advocates; the Gender Climate Tracker app will soon be updated for content and optimised navigation, and made available in French and Spanish.
