Slap! with Pride Everyday

June Gloom officially died in 1969, the day the Stonewall Riots started. Thanks to the courage of so many during this two-day riot, hundreds of rays of light were cast upon the LGBTQ community. At that moment in history, the LGBTQ community boldly said it would no longer stay quiet and remain oppressed by bigotry, hatred, and misunderstanding. Emerging out of the shadows was an unwavering, collective voice shouting in unison, “enough is enough”.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success.” - Henry Ford

Those few hundred rays of light that emerged on June 28 and 29 in 1969 have grown into a bright ball of light that now shines throughout the world during the month of June. That light represents the importance of practicing self-love and the opportunity to celebrate the acceptance of all walks of life, especially our brothers and sisters from the LGBTQ+ community.

At Slaptastick, we’re on a mission to tear down the stonewalls of prejudice, discrimination, and fear of the unknown. We believe... 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸!
