Conceptual design and animation work to demonstrate double standard of fleet weeks air shows. It’s great to celebrate freedom and nations but jet planes might not be the best thing blast in our air with our global environmental crisis. I’m also open to discussing my reasonings why Formula 1 sets a societal example, despite its pollution.

About
The Blue Angels are the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron which holds air shows every year, initially formed in 1946.
The mission of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) is to QUOTE: “Showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.”

Let’s run through some numbers:*
One plane emits 1 200 gallons of fuel for one 75 min air show
🔸There are 6 jet planes in one show
🔸There are 56 shows across the US every year
🔸That’s 436 800 Gallons of jet fuel every year
🔸That’s $35 475 000 dollars spent on air shows alone every year

Some questions this might raise:*
◾️What’s done for the possibly homeless and struggling veterans while hosting these air shows?
◾️What example do these airshows really set for our society and our global issues?
◾️What amount of pride and professionalism is there in taking these environmental affected air show demonstrations?
◾️How much is a celebratory moment for the past really worth when put into a bigger perspective in the present?
◾️Is this the best thing taxpayers can spend their money on?

I’m personally not convinced that this is the best use of our resources or considerations, for any nation.
