Up Pull-to-save
We shipped this a little while ago, but thought it was worth sharing here.
We had freed up our "pull to refresh" interaction as we were utilising background updates to our app via silent push notifications. That meant our users were always seeing 'the latest data' and no longer having to fetch anything.
Also, we had always spoken of our desire to mimic that real-world interaction of emptying your pocket change into your coinjar (a common habitual saving behaviour) but digitally.
And lastly, we had feedback that when round-ups were enabled, all the transactions in your activity feed were usually whole round numbers, which would draw attention to the available balance figure (if it contained a cents amount).
And thus, the pull-to-save functionality was born: easily sending the cents amount from your spending balance to a high-interest saver with a simple pull-and-release. Good fun đŸ˜„
