Space Age Blood Diamond

I've been producing chiptune music for almost a decade now, making many new friends and introducing my existing ones to the genre. For one of those existing friends, this galactic lookin' gemstone is part of several rounds of concept art I'm currently working on for their upcoming debut album release.

The crystal is formed from various photographic elements layered and masked together with some extreme blend modes. The central hourglass mark itself is part of their overall brand which will be introduced on launch.
