Letterpressed Holiday Cookie Type
What happens when a printing press aficionado combines forces with a dimensional typographer? A la-la-lovely holiday project emerges. Detwiler Prints and the Columbus Printed Arts Center graciously lent us their lead and wooden type specimens to pair with antique cookie cutters.
Each piece was pressed and/or filled with jam, sprinkles, and edible glitter to make the season extra bright. Layouts were considered like posters, considering how cookies would lock together or stack. Unfortunately all of these were uneaten due to toxicity, the only time we’d encourage such behavior.
