At gloops INTERNATIONAL グループス we built one of the first Real-Time Strategy games of the year! Originally published by mobage.

In the Apocalyptic Wars “Apoc Wars” – In this dystopian world, there is a war for resources and technical prowess. Develop your base and improve its defenses from raiders. You will also need to train your infantry and mechanized units. Launch attacks upon enemy bases or your peers and liberate their resources.

One of the challenges of this game was maintaining a Comic-Book like illustrative style to all the 3D elements within the build, recon and combat environments. The Toon-Render, Outlines and use of the Camera inside Unity helped make that possible.

My Role:
• Developed game flow designs, Story, Missions, Dialogue, and User Experience and User Interface work

• Conducted usability testing and developed features to improve LTV as well as Vanity Metrics

• Hired and managed an all new creative team from the ground up in an all new international studio

• Established brand standards and practices for new art production team including asset management

• Developed production pipeline and strategies improving efficiency and quality

• Established unique Art Direction and distinct looks from photo-realism to stylized comic book art

• Organized and built schedules to maximize work flow methodologies for overlapping game production

• Managed and directed out-sourced creative production assets for both Japanese and local studios

• Directed and presented creative to business partners in San Francisco and to HQ in Akasaka, Japan.

• Hands-on art creation to establish quality and consistency from Illustration, Animation, VFX, SFX and Video
