Boston's South End

Welcome to Boston's historic South End, a neighborhood filled with mansard roofs, Victorian townhouses, a few true brownstones*, and a handsome campanile. I'm working on a t-shirt design with various landmarks and buildings that define my neighborhood.

*Most people misuse the term brownstone to describe townhouses. A brownstone is a townhouse actually clad with brownstone. Most of the South End is comprised of brick townhouses, not brownstones. There are a few rows of brownstones on W Newton Street, Massachusetts Ave, and Columbus Ave.
