Enneagraph Co.

Most of the time when I see grids under logos I cynically think “you drew this afterwards just to justify your gut decisions in an attempt to add weight...” But then sometimes you need to design a 9-sided nonagon camera shutter logo and math is your friend. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sturdy symbol for a new Tennessee-based photography studio from Jeremy Cowart called Enneagraph Co., who offer nine different lighting styles based on the Enneagram, a popular personality assessment tool.

9 light types, 9 blades of a camera aperture. Works big (signage) and small (social media), and (hopefully) manages to take a familiar visual idea an imbue brand meaning and — pun absolutely intended — personality.
