Personal Site Redesign

I'm working on a design for one of my sites. I'm trying to simplify life and pair things down, so I thought this kind of idea might work. I hand drew all of the text and logos, though strangely enough it's my name with which I'm the least happy. I'd love to hear feedback, good or bad.

Oh, and the photo would go full screen, the text is on the 960 and would center on the screen.
