1909 Pirates World Series

In early 2023, I was commissioned to create a historical mural for PNC Park. The intention of the mural was to celebrate the great moments of the stadium and the team’s history. I selected the 1909 Pirates as my mural’s focus. This team is one of the all-time greats in baseball history. Their World Series title highlighted the matchup of the century, Honus Wagner versus Ty Cob, two of baseball’s greatest icons. The design features ironwork that made Pittsburgh famous in the early 1900s and the Pirate's original blue and red color scheme.
