We are looking for a Director Of Design

We are deeply inspired by designs that can bring about change. And have always dreamt of some of the best designers working with us to solve problems. We have been fortunate that we have had a few of the world’s best designers join us on our endeavor. Thanks to their belief and empathy for the work we do, our homepage made it to the Webby awards nominations this year. We were humbled.

Enthused, we are doubling down on our design efforts. We are looking for a Director of Design to raise the bar, make our web and mobile apps truly the best in class. Your singular mission would be to design great products that meet our communities credit needs and make Social Investing exciting and deeply fulfilling to millions of Social Investors.

As Director of design, you will:

• Set overall product design direction
• Establish a strong design methodology/practice
• Build and coach a high performance design team
• Baseline the tools and technologies needed to fulfill the design mission
• Align design goals to our strategic business and social impact objectives
• Iterate design sprints and goals by collaborating with product, engineering and empathy teams

What you will need to succeed:

• Overall 10+ years of design experience and at least 2-5 years leading awesome design teams
• Delivered a few successful product designs in web/mobile
• Be an outstanding, hands on designer in at least one area – UX / visual design (web / mobile) / Motion design / Interaction Design
• Great leadership skills - inspire, motivate and coach team members to build successful products
• Strong communication and analytical skills - ability to articulate design vision and plan
• Deeply passionate about doing social good
