VacationRenter is a vacation rental search engine. We love vacation rentals, but not how time-consuming and complex it can be to find the right one. So we reimagined a better way. We bring all the rental options from the leading travel sites together in one place and showcase only the best results — saving time and reducing stress for travelers who are looking for the perfect place to stay.

VacationRenter was born inside Wilbur Labs, a San Francisco-based startup studio. Founded by ex-Googlers, VacationRenter uses automation and AI to help travelers find the perfect vacation rental.

About this Role

As a Product Designer at VacationRenter, you’ll be a key contributor to the core parts of the product — initially focusing on our high-conversion search results page.

You will work side-by-side with a product manager, engineers, and a lead designer to implement solutions that are valuable to the users, build up the brand, and meet the company’s business objectives.

What you’ll do

Work closely with engineering and product to design and implement new product features
Iterate on current product features with A/B variants
Execute designs that account for technical & time constraints, edge cases, and design system consistency
Collaborate with a lead designer to implement a unified design system that elevates the brand across the product

What we’re looking for

4+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer for web and mobile app products
A strong portfolio demonstrating relevant experience and a clean, simple approach to UI
Efficiency with Figma
Experience taking projects from research/discovery to shipping and iteration
Ability to communicate clearly, accept and iterate on design feedback, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver the best design possible
Show strong empathy for the end-user and have a desire to create great products
