App Designer (UX & UI)

But back to the job: As an App Designer at 3Advance, you will be a valued member of our team, working directly under under the leadership of our Director of Design. You should have strong independent design skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of thoughtful, innovative professionals. We hope you'll advocate for great design 🎨 and user needs, while effectively meeting business objectives.
The role will involve UX research and product ideation all the way through to UI design of new app products for our startup clients. You will continue to support the development, roll-out and growth of the exciting products you’ve helped design.
We're looking for someone with:
- 3+ years of app design (mobile/web)
- A strong portfolio of design work, showing off your skills 🤩 in providing solutions to business problems and UX challenges through effective design execution
- Presentation skills for both external and internal teams, with an emphasis on collaboration
- Interest in design trends, and a desire to keep learning
- Ability to independently design and maintain wireframes, mockups, UI prototypes, and specifications 📲
- Experience transitioning and transferring another designer’s initial idea/designs and expanding on them
- Experience rapidly testing and iterating your designs
- Desire to work closely with our product team to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Experience following up with Engineering to review the implementation of designs and assist in QA
- Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, inVision, Zeplin and the Adobe suite
- Ability to overlap your schedule at least half the day with our 🏛 DC HQ (EST)
- Solid communication skills - and comfortable with video calls

Salary: Up to $75k (US) full-time Mid-Level Designer. This is dependent on experience, location, communication and leadership capabilities. Entry level or internship positions may be possible too.
