Pride Month

I know I'm going against the social media flow here but I want to highlight what's happening in my home country.

Russians are going to vote for (or hopefully against) constitutional amendments on July 1 😱 Apart from resetting the clock on presidential term limits one of these amendments defines marriage as a "union between a man and a woman" and is meant to make the lives of gay people even more difficult.

This week there was a super homophobic video released portraying gay couple adoption as something sad and disgusting 🤬 I was not adopted but my biological dad is gay and awesome 💕, and I turned out just fine 😏

I truly hope that one day (hopefully, soon) there'll be no place for homophobia in Russia, and it makes me happy to see more people like Karèn Shainyan creating great content that changes people's brainwashed attitudes. Happy Pride month everyone! 🏳️‍🌈👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏻
