Tamir Rice
Today would have been Tamir Rice's 18th birthday. He was just a child when he was killed. His shooting had a big impact on me and still sticks with me.
He was 12 years old - a mere child - when he was tragically shot by police while playing with a toy gun in a park, by himself.
I promised to create 1,000 avatars for the Diversity Avatars collection. I am at 902 now. The final 100 are dedicated to Black Lives Matter and the lives of innocent black men, boys, women, and girls who have been taken from their loved ones too soon and unjustly.
