Inkscape 1.0

This was a 100% vector based piece I created for Inkscape during their contest for the release of software version 1.0. It had to include the Inkscape logo (mountain/river) and the text "Inkscape 1.0", "Draw Freely", and "www.inkscape.org".

1) The Inkscape logo emerging from the horizon was to demonstrate that art, and the platforms that allow us to create it, are a tangible expression of not only the world around us, but of the world inside our imagination.

2) The hot air balloon rising slightly above the Inkscape text was to demonstrate that, while a substantial new release, the software is continuously evolving.

3) The setting of space was to demonstrate the limitless aspect of free creativity within the Inkscape program.

I didn't get it finished in time to enter the contest but it was a cool experiment in creating fully SVG based compositions. I hope you guys like it!
