Swallow, Wood Engraving

A self initiated wood engraving. I quickly realized upon attempting my first test prints that I crammed a bit too much detail into such a small space resulting in a darker print than I would have liked. I was testing the boundaries of relief printing, here, and I think I found it. I’ll have to try spreading my lines out a bit more on the next one.
