Excelra GOSTAR Next - UX/UI Design

Excelra’s Global Online Structure Activity Relationship Database, known as GoStar, is one of the world’s largest and most robust chemistry databases. Their product is used by pharmaceutical companies to identify promising drug candidates and offers more than 30 different ways to search for a single chemical compound.

Neuron partnered with Excelra for an agile redesign of their SaaS product when it was time to deliver an improved V2 to their customers. Our designers worked closely with Excelra’s product managers, developers, and subject experts to deliver an improved, guided search experience to make this complex product feel more intuitive. Through our improvement to advanced search, we were able to decrease the average time it takes users to find answers, from 30 seconds down to just 10 seconds.
