LA Times | LatinX Files Illustration Feature

Illustration feature for the LA Times in the LatinX Files, a weekly newsletter that focuses on the American Latinx experience. Using Procreate on iPad and Adobe Photoshop, I created 3 panels to reflect on my own memories and family life. I styled the piece in the manner of stained glass windows seen in churches , a familiar setting I share with many other Mexican-American children being raised with Catholic traditions and family events. Rather than the usual biblical stories and figures, "I wanted to show vignettes of my life and those of the people who bring clarity to who I am and where I come from."
