The budget didn’t allow for a more ornate design, so the original concept was to do a simple skeuomorphic and glassmorphic visual design (top row) that would be animated with colored gases moving slowly behind the frosted glass. You can get away with doing tactile, skeuomorphic design when it’s game related IP.
But until that point comes, we opted to overlay color (bottom row) over the glass.
In a world of flat, boring app designs, we aim to be different and disrupt (again), as we’ve been doing for over 21+ years.
