#HumanBehindEveryNumber - User Experience in Clinical Trials

🔍 How important is UX?

The #HumanBehindEveryNumber project is based on the voices and perspectives of real patients who have participated or are participating in clinical trials to learn their experiences and perceptions. The goal was to identify what stages of a clinical trial are more demanding for patients, and what can be improved or approached differently.

#HumanBehindEveryNumber was launched as an experimental project in 2017 by KCR, a full-service contract research organization in response to the ever-changing needs of the CRO industry. Recognizing that it would not exist without patient involvement, KCR wanted to advance trial design with patients at the forefront.

The project aimed to engage industry stakeholders in a new discussion about clinical trial design advancement and improving patient experience.

As a result, with KCR, we have new business ideas and share an interactive page presenting patients' stories and research.

#HumanBehindEveryNumber won the iF DESIGN AWARD 2018 for UX and Service Design.

The iF DESIGN AWARD 2018 is the first design prize awarded to a contract research organization (CRO). Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.
