The Picteur - Main logotype for a carpenter

Piktör (Picteur) is a word originating in France, used to describe all around and skilled craftsmen and painters.

Patrik Bruze is a former graphic design classmate from LNU who late in life found his call and re-saddled to become a carpenter and all around craftsman. With his education in design and love for the arts he puts love and passion into everything he makes - whether that is re-foofing a house, custom building a kitchen in solid oakwood or crafting a lounge chair. Patrik beams of an old soul, someone who appreciates the small details and a slow way of work and life. That is rare in the high paced and hyper connected world of today. He is a true picteur.

The solution is as jointed in craftmanship as Patriks work. The hero of the identity is the custom typography we created inspired by tools and techniques from the carpentary profession, while also being reminiscent of 1940s Sweden. However, the nail that holds the structure is the brand symbol of Patrik himself holding his most important tool. This puts the craftsman front and center, leaving no doubt that this is a skilled picteur you should not hesitate to hire.
